What I use to sculpt

Most people don't know what brand of clay to use when they first start out so I will show you what I use now. I use Fimo and Sculpey brand of  clay. I don't use air dry because you couldn't use TLS ( translucent liquid sculpey). Fimo is harder than other brands, while Sculpey is very soft in my opinion. For glaze I don't recommend Sculpey because their's yellows over time. I do not recommend  plastic tools because they aren't sturdy enough for most clay projects. I have the clay mat from Sculpey though and that is great! You can bake the mat with the clay on it if you need to (I've never tried to, but I think it would work) Microbeads come in handy for decorating your projects! And don't be fooled into paying 6.00 for a little jar! I got mine from the dollar store in all colors! So, look at what's cheaper first. But remember practice is everything when it comes to sculpting!!!
