Trouble Shooters

While you are working with clay, you will encounter MANY problems, but I'm here to help with some of them. Question: How do I keep the clay clean?? Answer: Wash your hands before and after each color of clay you use. Also, if you really don't want a speck of dust anywhere, wear some latex gloves! *TIP* Wiping your hand on denim will RUIN any clay project you are working on! Question: How can I get rid of fingerprints? Answer: By wearing gloves the prints won't be so clear! Question:My projects are sticking to the clay mat! Answer: This is happening either because you're using too soft of a clay, or your mat doesn't have the right surface cover.*TIP* Use a blade to peel it off without messing it up. Question: My canes are messed up after I make them, how can I prevent it? Answer: If your canes are coming out you are either messing up the pattern while you were making it, or by rolling it out the pattern got displaced in the cane.
