Do you know those erasers that as much as you rub them they will always have the same pattern? Well, polymer clay canes have the exact same properties! When you are making the cane remember that the pattern you are making now is going to be every slice of miniature fruit you use in your projects so, you have to try to be a bit of a perfectionist! Always keep in mind the number of segments in the fruit and how it actually looks in real life. When you're done instead of rolling it out (which can destroy the pattern) start squeezing it from the middle and pulling it out. When that is done cut off the thick ends and put it in the freezer for about 5 minutes and ... you have a beautiful fruit cane!!!!!!! Here are some color mixtures for the fruits
1. Lemon- yellow, and translucent(for the pulp), white, and a small amount of translucent(for the white lines), and plain yellow(for the rind)
2.Orange-a lot of translucent, and a little bit of orange(for the pulp), (use the same as the lemon for all the white lines in your fruits), and use orange (for the rind)
3.Grapefruit-red, orange, and translucent(for the pulp), a darker orange color (for the rind)
