Miniature Pizza-TUTORIAL

This is a very fun project (my favorite by far)!! I hope you enjoy making it! Let your imagination guide you!
SUPPLIES
1. Tan, white, yellow, translucent, red, brown, and green clay.
2. A variety of clay tools ex: ball-ended tool, needle tool..
3. Red acrylic paint, TLS,yellow, orange, and black chalk pastels
TUTORIAL
First, take your tan clay and instead of putting it through the pasta machine take a roller, and try to create a thin round layer of clay (the edges don't have to be even, because then it will be "authentic" looking). Take yellow and orange pastels, and color the bottome of the pizza after you texture it with crumpled aluminum foil. Then, flip it over and roll the edges of the pizza up to make the crust. Next, take TLS and mix in a very small amount of red acrylic paint to make the sauce, and after mixing it spread it all over the pizza so that no part of the middle is tan. Now take white clay and add a small peice of yellow clay, and take small peices of it and put them all over the pizza. And take your ball-ended tool and use it to put down and mix the "cheese" evenly all over the pizza, but still make sure the sauce is showing. Take a detail brush and use the black/brown pastels to make oven marks all over the crust. Now mix an equal amount of red, brown, and translucent to make the color for the pepperoni. When that's done, take small circles of the color and flatten them. Then put them randomly over the pizza and texture them with the ball-ended tool, and if you really want detail take extremely small pizzas of translucent and press them down into the pepperonis to make an authentic look. Now take landscape green and spread it all over the pizza so it will look like herbs. DONE! Now bake at the temperature on the clay package and glaze afterwards!! Use your own ideas to make other toppings that you might like! :)

Miniature Bananas!!

This was one of the most detailed projects I've ever done! These two bananas and the banana peel took about 1-2 hours, but I think it was worth the effort! To make the peel take yellow and cream lay and put it through the pasta machine!! Then just go in with a blade and make all the details on it. To make the marks and bruises on them, I just used black acrylic paint. It takes a steady hand and a LOT of concentration, but practice makes (near) perfect. This is only my second attempt at bananas, because the ones I made a year ago.... Well let's just say I'm not too proud of them. Have a good day!^^

Miniature Swiss Cake Rolls- TUTORIAL

This is a very easy project that will come out looking amazing (if you use your imagination and concentration).
SUPPLIES
1.Brown, or orange, and white clay. (Brown if you choose to make chocolate, and orange if you want to make pumpkin).
2. Assorted clay tools, and a pasta machine, or clay roller.
3. White chalk pastel (and nutmeg/cinnamon if you're making a pumpkin cake roll).
TUTORIAL
First, take either your brown/ orange clay and roll it out on a thick setting (if you are doing pumpkin you should already mix in the nutmeg/cinnamon before this, and add a very small amount if brown to the orange as well!)
Next, on a slightly thinner setting roll out the white clay, and stack it on top of the brown/orange clay, then use your blade to even the sides and make it so that it will be ready to roll! (We are going to make a small cane so don't worry if its short and thick.)
Then, start pulling it from the middle and stretching it out to make the cane! (Do NOT roll it out because that can mess up the pattern. (Only shrink it to the size you want the actual cake roll to be, and keep it's circular shape). Now, pop it in the freezer for 5-10 minutes.
When thats done, take it out and cut it into the size you want and cut slices of it for display!
Now, take your blade and scrape the white chalk pastel over the whole roll, for a powdered sugar effect!
And (I almost forgot) take a needle tool and texture the cake part of the cake roll (not the white part).
Now you're done!!! You can display it on a plate! I added a strawberry to the chocolate roll, I hope it turns out great for all you!! (If you want me to display pics of your minis e-mail me at sugarpoppy@artlover.com!).

Bottle Keychains!

I was inspired to make these little bottles after I got my microscope in the mail! I made two red blood cell bottles, one called boredom, and the last one is sugar&spice! The red blood cells are just small disc-shaped red pieces of clay I sculpted. (I didn't bake them, because I'm lazy, but they turned out fine). I used an industrial strength glue called E6000. It acts kind of like a resin, but it's kind of foggy when it dries. Fortunately, it doesn't "sink" or flatten after it dries. I just added fake sugar for the sugar&spice bottle. For the boredom bottle I mixed a small amount of acrylic paint with the glue for a semi translucent look! I hope you guys like this project! By the by, I printed the labels just using the smallest font!

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who view my page out there! I know that miniatures is a very rare craft for people to even think of taking up, so I made this blog for all of you who LOVE and are OBSESSED with everything tiny! I was sitting on a bench at the park with a couple friends just completely absorbed in these tiny buds that were falling from the tree, and my friend said wow, you just love tiny things! So don't think you're odd because you think small things are the most important! ^^

My First Attempt At Decodening A Phone Case.

This project came out looking pretty sloppy, but I really love the crazy random candy look! I made all of the cabochons (Obviously you might be thinking!). It's really secure after the racoon honey dries onto the surface of the case. I just found my phone that day too! The front is white, and the back is chocolate colored. I just added anything and everything, as you can tell! Well I hope this "inspires" you! Please keep in mind that this is my FIRST attempt! At least now I can take my art everywhere! ^^
